PIZZA

One healthy and yet easy and quick wholesome snack I make for my children is pizza. The best part about it is I can basically throw in anything as topping and can keep it frozen. Whenever I get busy, I can just take it out from freezer, microwave it and walla! meal is ready! I also take them when traveling.

INGREDIENTS:

To prepare dough:

31/2 cups flour
1 sachet yeast (instant yeast like Mauripan)
some water
sugar
salt

METHOD:

Dilute yeast, sugar, salt in water. Make a hole in flour, add water mixture little by little. Knead dough. Cover with damp cloth and leave it to raise for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into 2 to 4 balls (depending on the size of pizza desired). flatten the balls onto pizza pan. Put on the topping and let the dough raise again for another 10 minutes before baking.

INGREDIENTS:

For topping:

Minced chicken/beef
curry powder/McCormick pizza seasoning (optional)
onion
garlic
tomato sauce
tomato slices
chopped pineapple
capsicum slices
olive
button mushroom slices
salt

all the following three or any combination of 2 of them:

Mozarella cheese
Cheddar cheese
Parmesan cheese

alternatively we can just use sliced sausages, arrange on pizza dough and simply sprinkle pizza seasoning and then top pizza with any vege and cheese.

METHOD:

Saute chopped onion and garlic. Add pizza seasoning or curry paste. Saute until fragrant, and add in chicken or beef. Season with salt.

Brush pizza dough with tomato sauce, pour the topping on top and spread it evenly. Garnish with the pineapple, capsicum olive, tomato and sprinkle cheese over them. Bake for about 10 - 15 minutes (depending on pizza size)
